Kanchenjunga tea house trek 25 days
Kanchenjunga (8,586m) is the tallest and third highest mountain in the world, located in the eastern part of Nepal near by the Indian border.
Simply home stay means stay to others home and exchange their cultural experiences; new tastes of food and many more and in the tea house trek we can stay in the tea house made by the locals and tea house food are prepared by the locals.
The tea house trek starts after a scenic flight to Bhadrapur or Suketar from Kathmandu. The starting point of trek is Suketar. We will pass many charming villages such as (lalikharkha, Yamphudin, Cherang and Ghumsa e.t.c.), terraces and dense forest on our trail.
We will also see breath taking view of many snow covered peaks as well as glacier, landslide, moraine and rhododendron forest on our way. We can also see different wild animals on the way such as snow leopard, mongoose, blue sheep, and panda’s etc.
This off the beaten trek is being popular day by day and has lots of adventurous activities during the trek.
Day 00: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 01: Flight Kathmandu – Badrapur. Short drive to Birtamod Bazar for overnight stay
Day 02: Drive Birtamod Bazar – Taplejung
Day 03: Taplejung – Mitlung
Day 04: Mitlung – Chiruwa
Day 05: Chiruwa – Sukathum
Day 06: Sukathum – Amjilosa
Day 07: Amjilosa – Gyabla
Day 08: Gyabla – Ghunsa
Day 09: Rest day in Ghunsa and hike to Ghunsari.
Day 10: Ghunsa – Kambachen
Day 11: Kambachen – Lhonak
Day 12: Lhonak – Pangpema (Kanchenjunga North Base camp) and back to Lhonak stay overnight.
Day 13: Lhonak- Ghunsa
Day 14: Rest and acclimization day.
Day 15: Ghunsa – Sele La High Camp
Day 16: Sele La Camp – Tseram via Sele-La pass
Day 17: Tseram – Ramze
Day 18: Ramze- Torongding
Day 19: Torongding- sherpa gaun
Day 20: Sherpa gaun- Keshwa
Day 21: Keshwa- Yakukhola
Day 22: Yaku khola- Illam
Day 23: Drive to Badrapur and flight to Kathmandu
Day 24: Free day at Kathmandu
Day 25: Final departure.
